Welcome, John T. Hope

   The Whistling Wind synopsis:
The Whistling Wind is a novel that tells the life story of a black carpenter who faced numerous challenges. Driven by government monetary policy and the capitalist system's ideology, he struggled to find consistent employment and eventually found himself on the wrong side of the law. After being released from prison, he was diagnosed as a philosopher with bipolar, which caused him to develop a mental illness due to constant financial stress. Despite not considering himself a writer or a reader, he wakes up one morning in 2009 with his laptop in his hand and feels compelled to write. He uses his writing as a form of therapy, and it helps him come to terms with his lifelong condition. The novel delves into institutional racism, economic exploitation of the labour force, and how love can be cruel when it should be kind. The Whistling Wind takes readers on a journey through the carpenter’s life, from his childhood to his present-day struggles with mental illness. The author uses fictitious events and fact-based stories to convey his message to readers. The novel also delves into the criminal world but ultimately conveys a message of spiritual education and sincere words of love for humanity. The title of the book, The Whistling Wind, symbolises an entity that is everywhere and nowhere but is within your mind. The author hopes that readers will understand the message conveyed in The Whistling Wind and gain a positive insight into his spiritual journey.  The true story of a black man’s struggle

Weird can be wonderful, mysterious and magical. The word conveys all levels of emotion. In this remarkable book, The Whistling Wind, the author, John T. Hope, takes the reader on a trip to the underbelly of today’s society and the ugly underworld in gripping poetic prose.
Born in the United Kingdom out of the Windrush generation, John T. Hope is an ordinary, hardworking single-back man writing a true story of romance in the midst of racism, unemployment, and the
economic exploitation of so many ethnic minorities in the workplace. Stemming out of an impoverished background with a poor education, he confronts many unlucky turns of events on his life’s journey and then ends up in prison. Upon his release, he’s undeterred by the problems he encounters.
Striving to survive, he writes to articulate why life is so hard in modern society and asks why we can’t all live together as equals.
